Skill Creator v2.0 (released 2026-09-14, currently 2.0.1) is a rewrite. The 1.x series was a CLI plus a Claude Code subagent; the 2.0 line is a local-first agent skill workbench: the Workspaces, Creator, and Repository apps handle skill management, authoring, and pinned-commit installation. Model configuration is rebuilt as route tabs (one-click connectivity tests across nine protocols), the agent panel is redesigned (context meter, /compact, $ completion, 320-720px resizing), and attachment buttons wake the OS-native file dialog, with 2.0.1 fixing the macOS dialog that never opened. Breaking changes: persisted state is not migrated (back up ~/.skill-creator first) and Node.js minimum is 24.0.0.

jixoai-ui v0.5.0 adds the spin component: <Spin spinner> resolves the generated svg artifact first (blocks-wave default, 94+12 loaders behind the plugin's ./spinners sub-entries), then the 59-name cli-spinners text catalog. The text lane is a flat CSS-animation engine — every frame rendered once, JS only fills animation parameters; lingerType end/start/both shapes the fade, and each catalog name carries a hand-tuned interval/linger pair. The plugin side aligns with the icon system through the full channel API — defineSpinnerChannel and the prefix:name namespace (0.5.1).

jixoai-ui v0.4.0 turns the press effects into Svelte attachments ({@attach pressEffect(...)}) and lands six-engine highlighting, the icon pipeline, the prose scope, KaTeX and Mermaid, the Card structural kernel and a floating canvas dock. The registry goes from 113 items to 136. Three migration actions, none with a compat layer.

create-opentray now takes either a command or a URL. Command mode turns a local web UI into a tray-resident desktop app; URL mode packages any page as an app window of its own. App icons are generated when you don't supply one.

UniPty v0.2.2 adds the official Backend package @unipty/backend-zigpty, built on the zero-dependency Zig PTY engine zigpty. Windows runs (adapter-mediated buffering semantics), and output has an optional disk-backed buffer, outputSpool. This post compares the route against node-pty and lists the caveats to know before use.

The first GitHub Release on the opendweb repo, publishing all six npm packages. OpenDWeb builds application-level networks: devices join by invitation, and the network carries only this application's traffic. The server is one command, clients configure one entry, and QUIC direct comes first with a self-hostable relay fallback.

The OpenTray repo's first GitHub Release. It gives lightweight programs such as CLI tools, AI skills, and local daemons a resident tray entry without pulling in Electron or a full desktop application framework. One `npx create-opentray` line wraps an existing command into a tray app, and one `createTray()` call is enough on the SDK side.

jixoai-ui v0.3.0 numbers figures, tables, equations, and listings in a document automatically, and the running text can cite them anywhere. Reorder sections and the numbers renumber, anchors keep working, and CSS counters with PagedRef both retire. The registry carries 113 items and @jixoai/vite-plugin 0.2.0 ships alongside. One breaking change.

OpenSpecUI 12.0.0 turns validate's output from a log written for people into typed records a machine can read, lifts merge-conflict advice to a first-class INFO level, and adds SourceCraft Code Assistant to agent delivery. The compatibility window narrows to the OpenSpec CLI 1.12 line, which blocks 1.10 and 1.11 by default. Upgrading is one command.

UniPty v0.2.0 adds two optional official parser packages. @unipty/shell-parser classifies shell command text and translates it into structured argv; @unipty/powershell-parser answers only to the official Parser.ParseInput. Nothing is executed at any point, and all 8 public packages appear on npm in complete form for the first time.
